Conditions create learners

It’s tempting to label people as either “learners” or “non-learners”, don't you think?
It feels simple. Convenient even. Especially when we need to make sense of someone’s performance or motivation.
But the fact is that, everybody is a learner when the conditions are right.
You might have zero interest in mastering Excel formulas. But given a data visualization tool, you’re suddenly engaged, driven, and eager to experiment.
What changed? In the right conditions, your curiosity clicked.
Everyone has a natural capacity to learn. Whether that potential shows up depends on the environment, the emotional state, and the context.
When that happens, even so-called "non-learners" become self-directed.
